Doctors from Saudi Arabia perform over 80 free heart surgeries in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Oct. 9, 2023. / Kabar /. 30 doctors from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia conducted a volunteer event for cardiac surgery and catheterization for adults in Kyrgyzstan’s Jalal-Abad, the KSA Embassy said.

The action was carried out through the Center for Rescue and Humanitarian Activities named after King Salman in the Southern Branch of the Scientific Research Institute of Heart Surgery and Organ Transplantation in Jalal-Abad from October 1 to October 7, 2023.

This action was carried out as part of supporting the healthcare sector of the Kyrgyz Republic. The project is a continuation of the Center’s activities in the field of healthcare in a number of fraternal and friendly countries, to provide medical assistance to individuals and families in need with the aim of saving human lives and alleviating the suffering of their families, the report said.

16 open-heart surgeries and 65 cardiac catheterization surgeries performed by doctors from Saudi Arabia through the King Salman Center for Rescue and Humanitarian Activities were successful.
