17th meeting of Coordinating Council for Cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and EU held

ishkek, July 25, 2023. /Kabar/. On July 25, 2023, the 17th meeting of the Coordinating Council for Cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the European Union was held in Bishkek, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

The event was attended by members of the Council - representatives of state bodies of the Kyrgyz Republic and a delegation of the Delegation of the European Union to the Kyrgyz Republic.

During the meeting, issues of bilateral project and program cooperation were discussed. Council members, together with the delegation of the European Union, discussed the progress of the Multi-Year Indicative Program for the Kyrgyz Republic for 2021-2027, as well as plans for the near future.

Much attention was also paid to the regional projects of the European Union in the Kyrgyz Republic in the field of increasing security, stability and ensuring sustainable growth in the region, building capacity to prevent terrorist activities, projects in the field of sustainable energy ties and education.

The Coordinating Council confirmed the readiness of the parties to continue active cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the EU.
