Kazakh FM, Chinese Ambassador discuss bilateral cooperation issues in Astana

On February 21, Deputy Prime Minister-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu met with Chinese Ambassador to Kazakhstan Zhang Xiao to discuss the Kazakh-Chinese cooperation and the prospects for its development, the press service of the Kazakh MFA reported.

The sides discussed the schedule of the highest and high-level bilateral visits and events planned for 2024. Special attention was given to the interaction within multilateral structures.

Murat Nurtleu emphasized the joint efforts on enhancing the trade and economic relations. He highlighted the role of development of the transit-transport cooperation between the countries and increasing non-resources exports from Kazakhstan to China.

In turn, Zhang Xiao noted the importance of the issues discussed and expressed full readiness of the Chinese side for active interaction. In his words, the Chinese Embassy in Kazakhstan will continue close cooperation to ensure successful organization of the events slated for this year.
