NAKHCHIVAN, Azerbaijan, October 19. Energy production in Nakhchivan will increase fivefold, the Deputy Head of the State Energy Service of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Acting Head Maharram Abbasov told reporters, TurkicWorld reports.
He noted that major energy projects are planned in Nakhchivan.
"The generating capacity of plants in Nakhchivan today is 244.8 MW, and 1,500 MW of capacity will be added in the coming years. This means that energy production in Nakhchivan will increase fivefold," Abbasov said.
