BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 15. Azerbaijan and the WB have discussed the preparation of a new Country Partnership Framework, Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov wrote on X, TurkicWorld reports.
The publication notes that a meeting was held with the World Bank's Regional Director for the South Caucasus, Rolande Pryce, and her team.
"We discussed the preparation of a new Country Partnership Framework for Azerbaijan for 2025-2029 and considered projects to be implemented to stimulate the economic development of our country," the publication reads.
According to the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan, the meeting highlighted Azerbaijan's successful cooperation with the WB and highly assessed the projects for which the Bank provides technical assistance and financial support.
The issues within the framework of cooperation with the WB on renewable energy and transition to a "green" economy, as well as projects Azerbaijan is interested in implementing, were brought to attention.
To note, during more than 30 years of successful cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the World Bank, the Bank has provided Azerbaijan with 49 already completed and 3 ongoing state loans for 52 projects totaling more than $4 billion.
Furthermore, more than $30 million has been allocated for grant projects in various directions for more than 115 technical assistance projects.
