BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 15. The death toll from Israel’s war on the Gaza Strip has risen to 73,789, while 174,798 people have been injured since October 7, 2023, according to figures released by the Palestinian Health Ministry on Tuesday.
The ministry said via its Telegram channel that hospitals across the Gaza Strip had received three bodies and 27 injured people over the previous 24 hours.
According to the ministry, 1,375 people have been killed and 4,686 injured since the ceasefire took effect on October 10.
Palestinian health authorities said an unspecified number of victims remain trapped under rubble or on roads, while ambulance and civil defence teams continue to face difficulties reaching affected areas.
The ministry added that the war has caused widespread destruction of homes and infrastructure across the Gaza Strip, contributing to a severe deterioration in essential services.
It also said restrictions on the entry of humanitarian assistance and materials required for reconstruction have further worsened humanitarian conditions in the territory.
The casualty figures released on Tuesday cover the period since October 7, 2023, and are based on records compiled by the Palestinian Health Ministry.
