BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 15. Qatar has condemned what it described as an escalation in attacks by Israeli settlers against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, including what it called systematic violence against civilians in violation of international law.
In a statement published on X, Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the latest incidents reflected what it described as a policy of empowering Israeli settlers to carry out further attacks under the protection of the Israeli army and security forces.
“These blatant crimes reflect the occupation government’s approach of empowering settlers to commit further attacks under the protection of the Israeli army and security apparatuses,” the ministry said.
Qatar called on the international community to take “urgent action” to stop the escalation and protect Palestinian civilians.
The Qatari statement comes amid continuing reports of violence and attacks by Israeli settlers in different parts of the occupied West Bank, where tensions have remained high.
Doha’s condemnation adds to growing international concern over settler violence and the security situation facing Palestinian communities in the occupied territory.
