Israel Palestine gaza ceasefire Gaza Health Ministry Gaza death toll

Gaza death toll rises as Israeli attacks continue

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 15. At least two Palestinians have been killed and 14 others injured in new Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip over the past 48 hours, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry.

The ministry said in a statement that at least 1,262 Palestinians have been killed and 4,168 injured in Gaza since the US-brokered ceasefire came into effect last October.

According to the ministry, the latest casualties add to the already devastating toll from Israel’s military campaign in the Gaza Strip, which began in October 2023.

Since the start of the war, at least 73,391 Palestinians have been killed and 174,280 injured in Gaza, the ministry said.

The continued deaths and injuries have raised further concerns about the durability of the ceasefire and the humanitarian situation in the enclave. Despite the ceasefire arrangement, Israeli attacks have continued to cause casualties, according to Gaza health authorities.

The latest figures come as Gaza continues to face a severe humanitarian crisis, with the healthcare system under immense pressure and civilians remaining vulnerable to renewed violence.
