BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 4. The Israeli military says it carried out several operations in the occupied West Bank on Monday, including the destruction of equipment it described as being used to manufacture weapons.
According to a military statement, Israeli forces dismantled the alleged weapons production machinery in the Qabatiya area.
The military also said it arrested an individual in the Nablus area whom it identified as being affiliated with the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ).
Israeli authorities stated that security operations in the occupied West Bank would continue.
The claims have not been independently verified, and there was no immediate response from Palestinian Islamic Jihad or Palestinian authorities.
