Gaza death toll rises as Palestinian Health Ministry reports more than 73,000 killed

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 9, At least 73,118 Palestinians have been killed and 173,615 others wounded since the beginning of Israel’s war on Gaza in October 2023, according to figures released by Gaza’s Health Ministry.

The ministry said that since a US-brokered ceasefire was introduced in October 2025, Israeli forces have killed 1,092 Palestinians and wounded 3,507 others across the besieged enclave.

The latest figures come as humanitarian conditions in Gaza remain critical, with continued pressure on medical facilities and emergency services.

The conflict has caused widespread destruction and a severe humanitarian crisis, with international organizations repeatedly calling for increased humanitarian access and protection of civilians.
