BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 30. China has called on the United States and Iran to maintain the momentum of their diplomatic talks, emphasizing that dialogue remains the best path toward regional stability.
Speaking during a meeting in Beijing with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said the current ceasefire remains fragile despite recent progress.
"Talking is better than fighting, and dialogue is better than confrontation," Wang said, according to China's state news agency Xinhua.
He added that Beijing is prepared to work with Saudi Arabia to help reduce tensions in the region and promote lasting peace.
China has repeatedly voiced support for diplomatic efforts aimed at preventing further escalation in the Middle East.
