BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 30. The Israeli military says it has killed a member of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) during an operation in the southern Gaza Strip.
According to the Israeli army, Talal Jaber Mohammad Abd al-Aal commanded a cell that infiltrated Israel during the October 2023 attacks and was involved in holding captives throughout the conflict.
The military said the operation was carried out on Sunday in southern Gaza.
The claim has not been independently verified.
Meanwhile, Gaza's Health Ministry reported that eight people were killed in Israeli attacks during the latest 24-hour reporting period.
