BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 24. US President Donald Trump is expected to meet major defence and munitions manufacturers at the White House as his administration moves to increase weapons production following recent conflicts, including the war on Iran.
TurkicWorld reports that the meeting comes amid concerns that US weapons stockpiles have been significantly reduced due to large-scale deliveries to allies and extensive use of precision-guided munitions and air-defence systems during ongoing geopolitical tensions.
According to reports, the administration is seeking to accelerate production timelines and expand industrial capacity for key military systems, particularly air-defence technologies that have seen surging demand.
The gathering will bring together senior executives from major defence firms, continuing earlier consultations held in March with companies including Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, RTX, Boeing, BAE Systems, Honeywell Aerospace and L3Harris Technologies.
Officials say the Pentagon is pressing contractors to move faster on previously agreed production plans as the United States and its allies work to rebuild depleted stockpiles and respond to sustained security challenges.
