BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 23. A United Nations commission has accused Israel of deliberately targeting and killing Palestinian children in the occupied West Bank and Gaza.
TurkicWorld reports that the report was issued by the UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem and Israel. It stated that approximately 30 percent of those killed in Gaza since the start of the war in October 2023 have been children.
Commission chair Srinivasan Muralidhar said the evidence indicates that Palestinian children have been deliberately targeted and killed by Israeli security forces.
The report also claims that even after the October 2025 ceasefire, children continued to be killed and injured, arguing that this reflects ongoing violations of international obligations regarding the protection of civilians.
The findings add to growing international scrutiny of the humanitarian situation in Gaza and the occupied West Bank amid continuing violence and instability.
