BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 22. Negotiations between Iran and the United States have concluded successfully in Switzerland, according to Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
TurkicWorld reports that in a statement shared on social media, Sharif said the discussions took place in a “positive and constructive atmosphere” and produced encouraging progress toward a broader diplomatic framework.
He noted that the parties agreed on a roadmap aimed at reaching a final deal within 60 days, alongside the creation of a high-level committee to provide political oversight of the process. The agreement also includes plans to continue technical-level negotiations in the coming phase.
Sharif added that Pakistan would continue to play what he described as an “honest and sincere role” in supporting dialogue and diplomacy aimed at achieving a peaceful and lasting resolution.
The announcement signals a potential step forward in US-Iran engagement, with Pakistan positioning itself as a key facilitator in ongoing mediation efforts.
