BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 20. Israeli military and settler activity has intensified across the occupied West Bank, according to reports from the Wafa news agency and local sources.
TurkicWorld reports that key developments include:
Arrests: Israeli forces detained five Palestinians overnight. In Deir Abu Mishaal, northwest of Ramallah, four citizens were arrested: Fouad Abu Samra, Samhan Mustafa, Abdullah al-Tahiya, and Hassan Gharib. In Nablus, troops raided several homes in the Jabal Fatayer area and arrested Diaa Muhammad Fatayer. A young man from Nablus was also arrested at dawn.
Access restrictions: Israeli forces sealed off the last remaining entrance to al-Mughayyer, northeast of Ramallah.
Agricultural interference: Farmers in the Beit Furik plain were prevented from harvesting wheat crops due to heavy deployment of Israeli troops and settlers in the area.
Property seizure in East Jerusalem: The Palestinian Foreign Ministry condemned the takeover of land belonging to the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate in Silwan. Israeli authorities expelled the Patriarchate’s representative, confiscated equipment, uprooted trees, and fenced off the area, calling the move a “serious assault.”
The ongoing operations and restrictions exacerbate tensions in the West Bank, with arrests, land seizures, and limitations on farming activities contributing to escalating humanitarian and political concerns.
