Israeli military claims strike on Hezbollah infrastructure in Bekaa Valley

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 19. Israel’s military has announced an attack in Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley, targeting sites it describes as “Hezbollah infrastructure,” amid rising cross-border hostilities.

TurkicWorld reports that in a statement, the Israeli army said the strike was in response to “violations of the ceasefire” by Hezbollah, which it accused of continuing attacks against Israeli soldiers stationed in Lebanon.

The announcement follows earlier reports of four Israeli soldiers killed during combat in southern Lebanon. Since last night, clashes have intensified, with Lebanon’s Ministry of Public Health reporting a total of 18 deaths resulting from the ongoing attacks in southern regions.

The Israeli military said its operations aim to respond to threats from Hezbollah while maintaining security along the northern border. The escalation comes amid heightened regional tensions, raising concerns over the potential for broader conflict in Lebanon.

Observers note that repeated strikes and casualties increase the risk of wider confrontation and complicate ongoing diplomatic efforts, including the US-Iran agreement and regional de-escalation initiatives.
