Iran’s Araghchi discusses US-Iran MoU with Kuwaiti counterpart

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 18. Iran has held diplomatic talks with Kuwait focusing on the recently signed memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the United States and broader regional developments.

TurkicWorld reports that Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said he spoke by phone with Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah to review the US-Iran agreement and exchange views on regional issues.

In a statement shared on his Telegram channel, Araghchi said Iran hopes the agreement will contribute to restoring peace and stability across the region.

He also emphasized the importance of continued dialogue with Gulf countries, saying such engagement is necessary to “resolve existing ambiguities” and strengthen mutual understanding between Iran and its neighbours.

The discussion reflects ongoing regional diplomatic outreach following the US-Iran agreement, as Gulf states assess its potential implications for security and cooperation frameworks in the Middle East.
