BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 3. Kuwait faces repercussions for hosting US military bases used to launch attacks on Iran, an Iranian analyst says, noting that Tehran has avoided targeting Kuwait and Bahrain arbitrarily despite their territory being used in the conflict.
TurkicWorld reports that Foad Izadi, a professor at the University of Tehran, told that the United States has employed the territory of Iran’s neighbors to strike Iranian targets and that these countries have been unable to prevent the misuse of their land.
Early footage from the conflict reportedly showed surface-to-surface missiles being launched from Kuwaiti desert locations, striking Iran, rather than from US states like Arizona or Nevada. Izadi expressed hope for a political settlement to end such exchanges.
