BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 23. Casualties have been reported following a new Israeli airstrike in the northern part of Gaza. The latest incident reflects the worsening security situation amid the ongoing military confrontation in the region.
TurkicWorld reports that, according to a statement released by the Gaza Police Headquarters, Israeli forces carried out an airstrike on a police position near the Sheikh Ridwan area in northern Gaza.
According to the information, five police officers were killed in the attack. Several other individuals were also reported injured.
Medical sources stated that the strike resulted in a total of five fatalities, while six people sustained injuries of varying severity.
The ongoing military operations in the region are also reportedly worsening the humanitarian situation and placing additional pressure on civilian infrastructure.
