Israeli prime minister demands rapid deportation of provocateurs

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 20. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that he has instructed the relevant authorities to deport participants of the Gaza-bound flotilla.

TurkicWorld reports that although Netanyahu claims Israel has “full authority” to stop the flotillas, he criticized his far-right ally Itamar Ben-Gvir’s treatment of activists as “not in line with Israeli values and norms.”

Netanyahu stated: “I have instructed the relevant authorities to deport the provocateurs as quickly as possible.”

Meanwhile, international activists participating in the Gaza flotillas have accused Israeli authorities of various forms of mistreatment during previous detentions, including physical abuse and psychological pressure.

Earlier this month, the UN Human Rights Office called for an investigation into “serious mistreatment” allegations against two flotilla participants – Seyf Abu Keshshak and Thiago Avila. The Israeli human rights center “Adalah” reported that these individuals were subjected to severe physical abuse tantamount to torture.
