Putin: CSTO becomes prestigious organization in the region

BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 27. The Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) has become a prestigious organization in the region, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the regular meeting of the CSTO Collective Security Council in Bishkek, TurkicWorld reports via Kabar.

As he noted, the chairmanship of the organization has now passed from Kyrgyzstan to Russia.

According to Vladimir Putin, during the year of its chairmanship, Russia will carry out work on the main directions of the organization. It will pay special attention to the development of cooperation, protection of the interests of countries, and preservation of the territorial integrity of states.

"In 2026, we will hold a number of important events with the participation of the member states of the organization. We are interested in the participation of representatives of other countries. We also plan to conduct military training within the framework of the organization. We note, the need to provide the member states of the organization with modern military equipment," he said.
