BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 25. Israeli forces shot and killed a 22-year-old Palestinian man south of Jenin in the occupied West Bank, the Ministry of Health confirmed on Tuesday TurkicWorld reports via arabnews.
Sultan Nedal Abdul Aziz was killed after Israeli forces surrounded a house in the village of Merka, showering it with gunfire and grenades. The Israeli military took his body after the offensive, the Palestinian Civil Affairs Authority confirmed.
At least 1,013 Palestinians were killed by Israeli settlers and soldiers in the West Bank between October 2023 and August this year, according to official Palestinian figures. During the same period, 43 Israelis, including soldiers, have been killed in Palestinian attacks in the West Bank, according to official Israeli figures.
Israeli raids on West Bank villages have escalated since the start of the war in Gaza in late 2023, accompanied by settler assaults including arson attacks on commercial property, the destruction of crops, assaults on homes, and stone-throwing.
