BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 13. Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit welcomed the UN General Assembly's overwhelming adoption of a draft resolution endorsing the New York Declaration on the implementation of the two-state solution and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, TurkicWorld reports citing Asharq AL-Awsat.
He said that the resolution strengthens the outcomes of the July conference on the issue and increases global momentum, especially as a number of countries are expected to recognize the Palestinian state in the coming days, coinciding with the summit on September 22
