BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, September 21. Two international trade and logistics centers will be built in the northern and southern parts of the country, following the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, TurkicWorld reports.
According to the information, this decision is indicated in the "Program for the Development of Trade and Logistics Centers in the Agro-industrial Sector of the Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic for 2024-2028", which was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers.
Moreover, it is planned to create 20 trade and logistics centers in different regions of Kyrgyzstan.
The initiative aims to increase the competitiveness and export potential of domestic agricultural products in international markets through the development of logistics infrastructure.
The program contains goals, priority areas, tasks, and key measures for the implementation of state policy aimed at developing the country's trade and logistics system.
The government noted that the implementation of the program will be accompanied by continuous internal and external monitoring, as well as evaluation of intermediate and final results.
To note, according to the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan, in the period from January through August, the volume of agricultural, forestry, and fishery production amounted to 222.769 billion som (about $2.7 billion), which is 7.3 percent more than in the same period last year.
