Uzbekistan gives go-ahead for Tajikistan to streamline freight transport

DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, September 11. Uzbekistan has approved the simplification of freight transportation with Tajikistan, TurkicWorld reports via the National Database of Uzbekistan's Legislation.

According to the base, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has approved a protocol amending and supplementing the Uzbek-Tajik intergovernmental agreement on international road transportation.

This agreement, signed on March 9, 2018, regulates the rules of international road transport between the two countries.

According to the new protocol, signed on April 18, 2024, in Dushanbe, the transit of freight vehicles through the territories of both states will now be carried out without the need to obtain permit forms.
