The Director for Cooperation with European Countries and EU Institutions at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Oybek Shakhavdinov met with the Deputy Head of Mission of the British Embassy in Uzbekistan Steven Anderson.

The parties discussed the current state and prospects for cooperation between Uzbekistan and the United Kingdom in the political, trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres.

The schedule, organizational, and content aspects of planned joint events and visits at various levels were also considered.

The interlocutor said that careful preparations are being carried out for the next meeting of the Uzbek-British Trade and Industry Council (UBTIC), which will be held in London on 28-30 November 2023, which is expected to be attended by about 300 British companies.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to maintain a constant dialogue to develop cooperation in various areas further.
