Uza. The President of Italy Sergio Mattarella will pay an official visit to Uzbekistan on November 9-11 this year, Nova Agency reports.

“Mattarella’s visit is strongly supported by the Government of Uzbekistan, which is gradually strengthening relations with Rome as part of the Strategic Partnership Agreement signed last June and the consultation mechanism between Italy and the five Central Asian countries”, the news agency states.

The President will be accompanied during the visit by his daughter Laura and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Edmondo Cirielli.

As part of the visit, the President of Italy will visit the Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent and Samarkand.

The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev paid an official visit to Italy in June this year.
