Uzbekistan and China enhance linguistic collaboration

Uza. In globalization and multifaceted collaboration era, Doctor of Philology, Professor of the Chinese Philology Department at the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, Jasur Ziyamuhammedov, discusses the importance of preserving the Uzbek language and its role in studying the Chinese language. The rapid development of relations between Uzbekistan and China in various fields emphasizes the need for cultural exchange, strengthening traditions, and enriching knowledge.

– Currently, the world is becoming more global and interconnected. I, as a specialist, would like to share my opinions on the importance of studying the Uzbek language and its role in the process of learning the Chinese language.

Learning a Native Language – the Foundation for Successful Education

It is important to emphasize that every citizen should maintain a deep connection with their native language. This is a primary condition for successfully learning foreign languages. Understanding and respect for the native language makes it easier to master the grammatical rules and features of another language. Thus, our native Uzbek language can serve as a reliable foundation for learning the Chinese language.

Cooperation between Uzbekistan and China

At the moment, there is an active development of relations between Uzbekistan and China in various directions, including economics, politics, culture, science, and education. This growth is celebrated through various events such as Chinese Culture Days, which demonstrates the growing interest of both countries to develop cooperation further.

Exchange of Cultural Values

Interest in Chinese culture among the Uzbek audience is increasing. In particular, the number of works and antiques translated from Chinese into Uzbek is growing in the country. It is worth noting that Chinese literature is being researched and translated into Uzbek. This will allow our people to understand each other better.

Maintaining Cultural Traditions

Continuing and enhancing cultural exchanges between the two countries is an essential step in strengthening relations. It is necessary to expand the holding of Uzbek Culture Days in China and Chinese Culture Days in Uzbekistan. More active participation in various cultural events, holidays, and the promotion of articles by domestic authors in the Chinese media, holding competitions, and other events contributes to deeper mutual understanding.

Education and Exchange

One of the essential directions is the creation of new and improvement of existing textbooks for studying the Uzbek language among Chinese students. This can help improve student exchange and increase interest in our language. Students can compare different language structures and proverbs in both languages, mutually enriching culture and knowledge.

Chinese Literature and Future Cooperation Development

In recent years, we have been considering the creation of an encyclopedia of Chinese literature, which is vital for understanding the traditions and respect for Chinese culture. Universities in Uzbekistan are seeing an increase in interest in learning Chinese, reflected in the number of students studying this language. Educational exchange between Uzbekistan and China allows students to undergo a language internship in China and complete their studies in this country based on grants, and defend their dissertations. I think this will also pave the way for further development of cultural exchange between the two countries and future collaboration in language teaching. I would like to emphasize that several scientists from China have completed their research and defended their doctoral dissertations at TSUOS in recent years. This promotes and opens a wide gate for cultural exchange and language education between the two countries. This indicates that the Chinese are paying more attention to Uzbekistan. Mutual interest between Uzbekistan and Chinese researchers in studying languages and scientific research is increasing in the country.
