Samarkand and Xi'an to cooperate in tourism

Uza. Silk Road Samarkand Complex hosted a presentation on the culture and tourism of China’s Xi'an.

The event, aimed at strengthening cultural ties, particularly tourism development, widely demonstrated the tourism potential of the ancient Chinese city of Xi'an.

At the event, a memorandum was signed between the Department of Tourism of Samarkand region and the Department of Culture and Tourism of Xi'an on developing cooperation in tourism.

– We have signed a memorandum and are ready to restore ties between the two ancient cities on the Great Silk Road, – said the deputy head of the Department of Culture and Tourism of Xi'an, Zuo Dong. – The role of ancient Samarkand is known in the world community. The city of Xi'an is also a metropolis with a three-thousand-year history. The Great Silk Road began from here. The culture and history of the city is very rich. Six historical sites are part of the world’s cultural heritage. During the presentation, we tried to show and talk about this.

During the event, the national dances of Xi'an were also presented, particularly masterpieces of songs and dances of the Tang dynasty, as well as examples of Uzbek national art.

The Department of Culture and Tourism of Xi'an organized a drawing of prizes and trips to Xi'an with accommodation in the best hotels.
