Kokand hosts the International Handicrafts Festival

Uza. The Second International Handicrafts Festival has kicked off in the ancient and eternally young Kokand.

The majestic city gathered artisans from all over the world.

The event began with a solemn procession of foreign guests, artisans, and residents along Turkestan Street.

The opening of the International Handicrafts Museum took place. Head of the Department of Social Development of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Odil Abdurakhmanov, President of the World Crafts Council-Asia Pacific Region (WCC-APR) Saad Al-Qaddumi, Hokim of Fergana region H. Bozorov stressed that the festival plays a vital role in strengthening friendship between peoples.

The Urda Square hosted an exhibition and sale of handicrafts from Uzbekistan and abroad.

Folk festivals and folklore groups’ performances give the event a festive mood.
