Uzbekistan and Egypt to create a Business Council

Uza. Ambassador of Uzbekistan Mansurbek Kilichev met with the Executive Director of the Egyptian Businessmen’s Association Mohamed Youssef.

The Executive Director of the Egyptian Businessmen’s Association visited Uzbekistan as an international observer from Egypt at the Presidential Election on July 9. According to him, he held effective meetings at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and other relevant organizations. He noted the favorable business environment created in Uzbekistan, the attention paid to foreign investors, the dynamics of economic development, which are increasingly attracting the interest of Egyptian entrepreneurs.

Issues of creating a Business Council of Entrepreneurs of Uzbekistan and Egypt, as well as holding business forums in Cairo and Tashkent were discussed during the talks.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to hold several events aimed at establishing and enhancing cooperation between businesspeople of the two countries.

The parties agreed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding on the establishment of the Council of Entrepreneurs, as well as negotiations on the organization of a logistics center and warehouse, allowing Uzbek goods to enter the African market, in the special economic zone of Port Said of Egypt.
