Several meetings were held in the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan with representatives of a group of observers who visited the country in connection with the Presidential Election.
The Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis Nuriddin Ismoilov met with members of the delegation led by the Deputy Toraga of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic Nurlanbek Azygaliev.
Chairman of the Committee on Budget and Economic Reforms of the Legislative Chamber Mr. Nazarov met with the Chair of the Committee on Economics of the Lithuanian Parliament Kazys Starkevičius.
Meetings were held between the Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs and Inter-Parliamentary Relations of the Lower House of Parliament Dilora Fayziyeva and the Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Estonian Parliament Marko Michelson, as well as with the Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Saeima of Latvia Rihards Kols.
Vice Speaker Alisher Qodirov met with member of the Austrian Parliament, the Deputy Chair of the Austrian Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee, and the Spokesperson for Foreign Affairs of the Austrian Parliament’s Green Group Ewa Ernst-Dziedzic.
At the meetings, the election of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan was discussed. Views were exchanged on further developing inter-parliamentary relations.
