Turkmenistan to establish dealer center for Russian Ulyanovsk food products

ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, July 31. Turkmenistan is set to establish a dealer center for Russia's Ulyanovsk food products, TurkicWorld reports.

The agreement was signed with the Turkmen Shaylan company during the International Islamic Business Forum (IIBF-2024), held from July 27-28 in Ulyanovsk.

As reported, this deal was finalized following a business delegation's visit to Turkmenistan in June 2024. Shaylan, which operates over 6,000 client stores and handles a monthly trade volume of more than 1,500 tons of food products, has expressed interest in purchasing Ulyanovsk-made confectionery, sunflower seeds, snacks, and canned goods.

In addition to this, a partnership was established with the Turkmen Aylan financial institution to implement Islamic finance principles for fund allocation in the Ulyanovsk region.

The IIBF-2024 forum attracted over 150 participants, including international experts from the UAE, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and Bahrain.
