BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 15. Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has warned that reciprocal attacks in the Gulf are undermining diplomatic efforts aimed at ending the war on Iran.
Fidan called for an immediate halt to the attacks, stressing that Türkiye also attaches importance to the stability of its neighbour Iran and to preventing further escalation in the region.
He said freedom of passage should be ensured through the Strait of Hormuz and that the situation that existed before the war should be restored.
According to Fidan, Ankara is maintaining contacts with all parties involved in the crisis as part of efforts to find a diplomatic solution and bring the conflict to an end.
Türkiye has repeatedly emphasized the importance of regional stability and dialogue, while seeking to prevent the ongoing confrontation from creating wider security and economic consequences.
