BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 18. The number of passengers traveling through Türkiye’s Sabiha Gökçen International Airport reached 28,014,566 in July 2026, marking a 6 percent increase compared with the same period in 2025.
TurkicWorld was informed of the figures by Türkiye’s Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.
According to the ministry, international passenger traffic at the airport increased by 2 percent year-on-year to 15,082,055, while domestic passenger traffic rose by 11 percent to 12,932,511.
Cargo traffic at Sabiha Gökçen Airport increased by 3 percent compared with July 2025, reaching 290,903 tons. Domestic cargo traffic rose by 8 percent to 91,721 tons, while international cargo traffic remained unchanged at 199,182 tons.
The number of flights operated from the airport in July 2026 increased by 5 percent compared with the same period in 2025, reaching 160,890. Domestic flights increased by 10 percent to 71,664, while international flights rose by 1 percent to 89,226.
In July 2026, total passenger traffic across all airports in Türkiye reached 138,758,202, while cargo traffic amounted to 3,027,448 tons.
