The Second round of presidential elections that were held today in Türkiye ended, TurkicWorld reports.

Recall that voting began in the parliamentary and presidential elections at 08:00 local time in Türkiye.

Voting in the elections ended at 17:00 local time.

Turkish President, Head of Justice and Development Party (AKP) Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Republican People's Party (CHP) chairman Kemal Kilicdarogu stand as candidates in the second round of elections.

It should be noted that, in the first round of the elections held on May 14, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan won 49.5%, Republican People's Party (CHP) candidate Kemal Kilichdaroğlu got 44.89%, Ata İttifakı candidate Sinan Ogan scored 5.47%, and Memleket Party candidate Muharrem İnce got 0. ,44% of the votes.

Turkish citizens living in foreign countries participated in voting for the second round of elections from May 20-24.

In foreign countries, 1 million 895 thousand 430 people participated in the voting.

There are 60 million 697 thousand 843 eligible voters in Türkiye and 30 million 710 thousand 790, i.e. 50.60 percent of them are women.

The number of male voters is 29 million 987 thousand 53, i.e. 49.40 percent.

More than 64 million people have the right to vote in Türkiye.

In general, 3,416,098 people had the right to vote among Turkish citizens living abroad.

1 million 595 thousand 158 of these voters are women voters, which is equal to 46.70 percent of the number of voters abroad.

In addition, the number of male voters is 1 million 820 thousand 940, which is equal to 53.30 percent of the voters.

Voting was held in 151 diplomatic missions of Türkiye in 73 countries.
