We work with our embassy to promote education in Malaysia for Azerbaijani students, Norlizah Jahaya director of Malaysia Truly Asia told these in an exclusive interview for TurkicWorld.

She told that, their company came Azerbaijan with Malaysian tourism minister during the OIC ministers meeting in summer.

“During that period we had opportunity to meet with different agencies and Turkish Airlines’ office in Baku to promote tourism in Malaysia. Now we also work with our embassy to promote education in Malaysia. That means that from now on we will be able to offer Azerbaijani students to go and study in Malaysian universities.”

Jahaya mentioned that, their agency’s main office is in Istanbul. However, its market coverage are also Balkan countries. Such as, Azerbaijan, Croatia, Romania etc.

“After August 2022, Malaysia has stopped COVID19 test requirements from travelers. People can go to Malaysia without any COVID19 test results and they won’t be asked for any insurance. Also it is not required to wear mask in the closed areas or in streets. However, they will be asked to use it in public transportations and in the hospitals for the safety.”

She explained that, as life started going back to normal in Malaysia their main office in Istanbul started promotions not only for Turkey but also for Balkan countries.

“In June we had 2 Malaysia Truly Asia seminars in Istanbul and in Ankara. Then we continued to have seminars in Balkan countries as well. And in this seminars we tried to explain how is tourism working in Malaysia.”

Moreover, she expressed that, they work with different Turkish agencies and social influencers for introducing life styles in Malaysia to more people.

Lastly, she told that most of the travelers are form neighborly countries such as Singapore, Indonesia and Thailand.

“Because of the COVID19 the number of the travelers from other countries are went down. But we are sure that the numbers of the visitors will increase day by day.”
