Ambassadors to OSCE are paying working visit to Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Nov. 11, 2022. /Kabar/. The Ambassadors of France, Germany, the United Kingdom and the United States of America to the OSCE in Vienna are visiting the Kyrgyz Republic today as part of their regional tour of Central Asia, the British Embassy in Kyrgyzstan reported.

The visiting group consists of Ambassador Christine Fages (France), Ambassador Gesa Braeutigam (Germany), Ambassador Neil Bush (UK) and Ambassador Michael Carpenter (United States). As part of their regional tour, they have already visited Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

During their visit to Kyrgyzstan, they will have meetings at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Interior Ministry, visit the OSCE Programme Office in Bishkek as well as the OSCE Academy. In addition, the Ambassadors will see K9 training facility of the State Customs Service supported by the OSCE. Apart from site visits, the Ambassadors will also have the opportunity to meet civil society representatives.

“Central Asia is an important region for us - which is why we are travelling here in the Quad format. We will meet with civil society, see projects on the ground and political figures. We will reiterate importance of working together, discuss the OSCE and issues of security across all the OSCE priority areas,” the Ambassadors said ahead of the visit.
