Kyrgyz Manas narrator enters Guinness Book of Records for longest marathon reading aloud

Bishkek, Sept. 29, 2022 / Kabar /. Honored Artist of the Kyrgyz Republic Rysbay Isakov entered the Guinness Book of Records for longest marathon reading aloud of the Manas epic tale - 124 hours. The Manas Week event was held in the Turkish city of Bursa as part of the IV World Nomad Games.

Officially, the record was fixed by the representative of the Guinness Book of Records in Turkey and in the countries of Central Asia. Rysbay Isakov was awarded a record holder certificate.

The event was attended by State Secretary of Kyrgyzstan Suyunbek Kasmambetov, Chief Secretary of the international organization TURKSOY Sultan Raev, Minister of Culture of Kyrgyzstan Azamat Zhamankulov, Mayor of the city of Bursa Alinur Aktash and Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Turkey Kubanychbek Omuraliev, as well as Manas narrators from Kazakhstan, Turkey and Kyrgyzstan.

Week of Manas was the first event in the framework of the IV World Nomad Games, as well as the project "Bursa - the cultural capital of the entire Turkic world."
