President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation met with the President of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic

BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 26. Within the framework of an official visit to the Kyrgyz Republic, an official meeting took place between the President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, Mrs. Aktoty Raimkulova, and the President of the National Academy of Sciences under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Mr. Kanatbek Abdrakhmatov. The meeting was also attended by the Director of the Ch.T.Aitmatov Institute of Language and Literature, Academician Abyldazhan Akmataliev, as well as the Institute’s Chief Researcher, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Manas scholar, Professor Zhyldyz Orozobekova, TurkicWorld reports.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of cooperation between the Foundation and the National Academy of Sciences in the field of preserving, developing, and promoting Turkic culture in the global arena. Particular attention was given to expanding collaboration in the scientific sphere, advancing academic partnerships, and strengthening institutional ties. The sides emphasized the importance of joint research, academic exchange, implementation of interdisciplinary projects, and coordination of efforts among scientific institutions aimed at the comprehensive study, interpretation, and popularization of Turkic historical and cultural heritage.

The President of the Foundation expressed gratitude to the National Academy of Sciences for its active participation in the Foundation’s projects in 2025, noting the high level of scientific cooperation and the significant contribution of the academic community to initiatives aimed at developing and promoting Turkic heritage. Special recognition was given to the professional contribution of the Ch.T.Aitmatov Institute of Language and Literature to the preparation of the multi-volume multilingual collection “Heritage of Turkic Folklore”, implemented by decision of the Heads of State adopted at the 11th Summit of the Organization of Turkic States on November 6, 2024, in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.

Continuing the meeting, Mrs. Aktoty Raimkulova invited the National Academy of Sciences to actively participate in the Foundation’s upcoming projects in 2026 dedicated to the preparation and organization of events marking the 100th anniversary of the World Congress of Turkology held in Baku in 1926. It was emphasized that the anniversary initiatives aim to reassess the historical significance of the Congress, its role in shaping modern Turkology, and to foster international scientific dialogue uniting researchers of the Turkic world.

The meeting confirmed the high level of mutual trust and strategic partnership between the Foundation and the National Academy of Sciences, outlining clear directions for further cooperation in scientific, educational, and humanitarian spheres. The agreements reached laid a solid foundation for the implementation of joint international projects focused on preserving, developing, and globally promoting Turkic cultural and historical heritage.
