BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 3. On November 4, 2025, within the framework of the 43rd Session of the UNESCO General Conference, a historic and symbolic event for the Turkic world will take place. The Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation will, for the first time, present major cultural projects that reflect the depth, diversity, and grandeur of Turkic civilization.
The presentation will feature:
“Cultural Code of the Turkic World” — a comprehensive catalogue of Turkic cultural heritage, developed in accordance with the strategic documents “Turkic World Vision – 2040” and “TURKTIME”, endorsed by the Heads of State of the Turkic countries;
“Heritage of Turkic Folklore” — a multivolume, multilingual anthology implemented on the initiative of His Excellency President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of the Republic of Uzbekistan, with the support of the leaders of Turkic states.
According to the Foundation, the preparation of these large-scale projects involved leading scholars and experts from across the Turkic world. Their work has made a significant contribution to the research, documentation, and transmission of centuries-old Turkic cultural and scientific heritage to future generations.
Celebration of the World Turkic Language Family Day
As part of the program, the participants will mark the proclamation of World Turkic Language Family Day, officially adopted by a resolution of the 43rd Session of the UNESCO General Conference on November 3, 2025.
The event will bring together:
Permanent Representatives to UNESCO from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Türkiye, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Hungary,
members of the diplomatic corps accredited in Uzbekistan,
representatives of international organizations,
renowned scholars, cultural institutions, and media.
The ceremony will be accompanied by a performance of the renowned ethnofolklore ensemble “Turan,” Ambassadors of Turkic Culture and Heritage.
Cultural Significance
Organizers emphasize that this event marks another milestone in the cultural history of the Turkic peoples. It symbolizes increasing international recognition of the linguistic and cultural unity of Turkic nations, as well as their contribution to global civilization and humanitarian cooperation.
