BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 22. On 21 September 2025, at the initiative of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, the Director-General of ICESCO, Dr. Salim bin Mohammed Al-Malik, held a meeting with the academic staff and students of the Faculty of Theology of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi International Kazakh-Turkish University within the framework of his visit to Turkistan, TurkicWorld reports.
During the meeting, the prospects for cooperation in the fields of science and education, the upbringing of the young generation in the spirit of religious and moral values, as well as future projects that could be jointly implemented, were thoroughly discussed.The guests then visited the International Exhibition “Divanu Lugat at-Turk”, where they viewed rare exhibits, historical manuscripts, and cultural artifacts of the 11th century reflecting the heritage of the Turkic peoples.
It should be noted that this exhibition was solemnly opened on 10 June 2025 at Khoja Ahmed Yasawi International Kazakh-Turkish University through the joint cooperation of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation and the Akimat of the Turkistan region.
At the end of the event, Dr. Salim Al-Malik answered the students’ questions, highly appreciating their interest in science and enlightenment, and emphasized that youth will play an important role in the future development of the Turkic-Islamic world.
