TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, September 13. Uzbekistan and Türkiye have discussed the development of multifaceted cooperation within the framework of the implementation of agreements during the official visit of the Uzbek President to Türkiye on June 6-7 this year,TurkicWorld reports.
According to information, it became known during a meeting between Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and a Turkish delegation comprising Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya, and Director of the National Intelligence Service Ibrahim Kalin.
The sides discussed topical issues of further strengthening Uzbek-Turkish relations through comprehensive strategic partnership within the framework of the meeting.
Furthermore, the two countries emphasized the importance of continuing regular and systemic contacts in line with the adopted road map, expanding the format and agenda of such talks.
The parties also discussed issues of deepening political dialog, promotion of trade, and economic and investment cooperation projects. Special attention was paid to strengthening inter-agency coordination and carrying out joint activities to counter modern challenges and threats to security.
The sides also exchanged views on topical aspects of regional interaction and cooperation within the framework of international organizations.
