Turkish President appoints new ambassador to Azerbaijan

BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 11. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has appointed a new ambassador to Azerbaijan, TurkicWorld reports.

According to the information, Birol Akgün was appointed ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Azerbaijan through a formal decree issued by President Erdogan.

To note, the tenure of diplomatic engagement of Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Jahit Bagchi, concluded on December 14 of the preceding year. He received formal recognition in conjunction with the conclusion of the diplomat's tenure.
