BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 26. First Lady of Uzbekistan Ziroatkhon Mirziyoyeva called First Vice-President of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva on August 26 to congratulate her on her birthday.
The Press Service of the President of Azerbaijan reported on the telephone conversation.
Ziroatkhon Mirziyoyeva congratulated Mehriban Aliyeva on the occasion and conveyed her sincere wishes to the Azerbaijani first vice-president.
During the conversation, the Uzbek first lady warmly recalled her meetings with Mehriban Aliyeva in Uzbekistan several days earlier, noting the positive impressions from their recent interactions.
Mirziyoyeva emphasised the multifaceted activities and humanitarian initiatives of Mehriban Aliyeva, saying they have earned widespread appreciation not only in Azerbaijan but also internationally.
Mehriban Aliyeva thanked Ziroatkhon Mirziyoyeva for her attention and warm birthday wishes.
The Azerbaijani first vice-president also recalled her recent visit to Uzbekistan with satisfaction and once again expressed gratitude for the hospitality extended to her during the trip.
The telephone conversation came shortly after Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s state visit to Uzbekistan on August 23-24, during which Mehriban Aliyeva also participated in a number of events.
