Uzbek FM arrives in Bishkek for official visit

Bishkek, Nov. 3, 2022. /Kabar/. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov arrived today in Bishkek for an official visit at the invitation of Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Jeenbek Kulubaev.

The Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry said that Jeenbek Kulubaev met with Vladimir Norov and hold intensive and fruitful negotiations.

In a traditionally friendly and trusting atmosphere, the sides discussed key issues of the development of Kyrgyz-Uzbek relations, prospects for their further expansion and deepening in political, trade, economic, investment, cultural, humanitarian and other areas, and exchanged views on topical regional and international issues, the report said.

On many of them, the sides came to a mutual understanding, reached agreements taking into account the interests of both sides. On certain issues, further solutions were outlined.

The sides were unanimous in their opinion that relations between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan are developing dynamically in the spirit of friendship, good neighborliness and strategic partnership, and noted the intention to further expand and deepen cooperation between the countries based on the common historical heritage, culture, linguistic, spiritual traditions and values ​​of the two fraternal peoples, the Foreign Ministry said.

As part of the official visit, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan was received by President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov.
