On July 24, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with the President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.

The Head of Belarus warmly congratulated the Leader of Uzbekistan on his birthday, sincerely wishing peace, well-being and prosperity to the friendly multinational people of Uzbekistan.

The Presidents of the two countries noted with satisfaction the dynamic development of multifaceted relations between Uzbekistan and Belarus observed in recent years and their filling with concrete content.

The trade turnover is growing. The number of successful cooperation projects in various sectors of the economy is increasing. Educational, cultural and humanitarian exchanges are expanding.

A high assessment was given to the established regular and productive dialogue at the level of heads of government. The parties are working on promising projects in mechanical engineering, the agro-industrial complex, the chemical, pharmaceutical and electrical industries, and other areas of practical interaction.

Views were also exchanged on international issues. Issues on the agenda of the upcoming summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in the city of Samarkand in September this year were discussed.
