Azerbaijan is a reliable partner of the EU and plays an important role in the energy security of Europe, TurkicWorld reports referring to the press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
This was noted during the meeting between Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock, which took place on March 29.
During the meeting the parties talked the development of bilateral relations, cooperation in the energy sector, regional security issues, including the development of Azerbaijani cooperation with the EU.
In his turn, Bayramov provided information on the current situation in the South Caucasus region, issues related to the implementation of tripartite statements [between Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russia], on the reconstruction work carried out in the territories liberated from Armenian occupation and also shared Azerbaijan's views on the issue of normalizing relations with Armenia.
The parties exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest, issues of regional and international security, including the situation in Ukraine.
