Azerbaijan's Baku celebrates Türkiye's Republic Day

BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 29. Türkiye's greatest holiday, Republic Day, has been celebrated in Baku today, TurkicWorld reports.

According to the information, the event held at the Heydar Aliyev Center was attended by representatives of the state and government of Azerbaijan, Chairperson of Azerbaijani Parliament Sahiba Gafarova, deputies, ambassadors, representatives of international organizations, and other guests.

The national anthems of Azerbaijan and Türkiye were performed at the beginning of the event.

Then, a video message by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan was brought to the attention of the participants.

Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Jahit Bagci talked about the history of the country's independence.

The diplomat talked of the development of brotherly relations between Azerbaijan and Türkiye.

He noted that the two countries have brotherly ties that have no analog in the world. The ambassador noted that, as Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated, Türkiye will always be close to brotherly Azerbaijan.

"No force can shake our brotherhood. With the inspiration we draw from the historic Shusha Declaration, we will continuously support Azerbaijan. We believe that Azerbaijan will successfully hold COP29. This event will further strengthen Azerbaijan's authority. Türkiye supports Azerbaijan in this issue at the highest level as well," Jahit Bagci added.

Afterward, Speaker Sahiba Gafarova delivered a speech and conveyed the congratulations of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

She emphasized Türkiye's confident development and the country's forward movement.
